Control of Technological Systems of Systems

The Labex MS2T was built around an original scientific project on "Systems of Systems Technological" concept emerging academically in France and Europe. Progress has been made in the following areas:
• Governance: pursuit of the functioning set up (steering committee, etc.); complete redesign of websites and intranets for internal and external information.
• Scientific program: Evaluation of the challenge team. Continuation of of interdisciplinary projects and launch of new projets; recruitment of PhD students and post-docs; Integration of the Costech laboratory integration, and  elaboration of a new scientific axis "Emergence and agility of systems of systems" since January 2018; response to the 2^nd Call for Proposals Ecoles Universitaires de Recherche (2^nd submission ; the SToSyS project not retained, but ranked A in the first call); an ERC obtained by A.V. Salsac (BMBI) for her research project on microencapsulation using deformable capsules.
• International: 2 invited researchers welcomed in 2018; several missions abroad to enhance international visibility; organization of the 13th annual international conference on systems of systems, IEEE SoSE, in June 2018 in Paris.
• Training: continuation of the master's program; 12 excellence scholarships in 2016-2017, 8 in 2017-2018; 8 in 2018-2019 ; 12 students M1 and 94 M2 in 2017-2018. Common diplomas with the Lebanese University (Lebanon), the University of Genoa (Italy) and, since January 2019 the Polytechnic University of Tirana.
• Industrial transfer and partnership relations: 1 new thesis co-funded with the Hauts-de-France Regional Council (HdFRC); pre-incubation project "Secucloud - cloud computing security" co-funded by Europe and HdFRC (June 2016-2018). A software license offering multi-level data security services stored in the cloud and a start-up are in the process of being cretaed.
• Participation and grants at several international events and conferences (RobAFIS challenge, etc). Several prices won.
