Sustainable Transport and Mobility

This call for proposals is now closed. You can view all open calls for proposals by clicking here.

The Sustainable Transport and Mobility (STM) programme is an evolution in its second year of the Sustainable Land Transport (SLT) programme. It follows the former Land Transport vehicle (LTV) programme. The STM programme is dedicated to research on elementary knowledge necessary for technological advance in the field of land transport. The SLT programme concerns every mode of land transport: road, rail, inland navigation and all their applications for passengers and goods.

For its first edition, the SLT programme was opened to the interaction between vehicle and environment: infrastructures, other vehicles and users. In this second year, the STM programme is opening to aeronautic and sea domains, on research topics at the interface with the land field in order to benefit from the effect of improved synergy.

It is organized in three related topics: engine and powertrain design, transport vehicles and transport systems. This programme is open to French-German projects within the Deufrako cooperation initiative.

The objectives of the programme are:

  • The optimization of energy consumption of transports and the reduction of the environmental impact in terms of greenhouse gases emissions and local or global pollutants (regulated or not)
  • The optimization of transport efficiency and systems of transport favoring safety, security, quality, reliability, accessibility and productivity.
