Signature of a Cooperation Agreement between the ANR and the CNPq in Brazil

The French National Research Agency (ANR) and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) in Brazil are pleased to inform the scientific community of the signature of a cooperation agreement aiming to fund collaborative research projects between French and Brazilian teams. In 2011, the agreement is implemented in the framework of the Blanc International II programme which is currently open. The call is open to projects of quality in the following fields: Mathematics, Physics, and Biodiversity.

2nd edition of the ORA call for proposals “Open Research Area for the Social Sciences”

Following the success of the first call in 2010, the ANR, the DFG (Germany), the ESRC (UK) and the NWO (Netherlands) confirm the upcoming launching of the 2011-2012 edition of the call. The ORA programme funds integrated research projects involving researchers from at least two ORA member countries, in all possible configurations, from 2 to 4 countries.

Signature of a Cooperation Agreement between the ANR and the NRF in Korea

The French National Research Agency (ANR) and the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) are pleased to announce the signature of a cooperation agreement aiming to fund collaborative research projects of quality between French and Korean teams. In 2011, the agreement is implemented in the framework of the ANR's Blanc International II Programme. The call is open in priority to key areas of common interest between both countries: Information and Communication Science and Technology, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology and Health.

Proceedings of the conference "Which research for new growth models? The ANR consults the companies"

On October 6, 2010, more than 300 people - among them 200 research managers in companies and associations representing companies – accepted the invitation of the French National Research Agency (ANR) to think on how public and private research could contribute to the emergence of new growth models. Introduced by Mr Alain Claeys, member of the French Parliament (Vienne), the conference was marked by the economist Daniel Cohen’s thoughts which contributed to better understand our economy and our society.

Assessment Workshop "Young Researchers"

The ANR organises an assessment workshop presenting the projects of the 2006 and 2007 editions of the Young Researchers call for proposals in the field of "hard" science (in the broad sense): information and communication science and technology, engineering science, chemistry, physics, mathematics and interactions, and universe science and geo-environment.

Cooperation Agreement between the ANR and the ANCS in Romania

The French National Research Agency (ANR) and the National Authority for Scientific Research in Romania (ANCS) are pleased to inform the scientific community about the opening of the ANR’s Blanc International II Programme to collaborative research projects of quality jointly proposed by French and Romanian teams. Priority areas are: Physics, environment, ecosystems and biodiversity.

Philippe FREYSSINET is appointed deputy director general of the French National Research Agency. He succeeds Michel Griffon who becomes advisor to the director general.

Launching of the transnational call in the framework of the ERA-NET Plus Electromobility+

This European call for proposals gathers 13 countries and regions and aims at creating a sustainable framework for the Electromobility of the future in Europe. French partners are the ANR, the MEDDTL (CGDD/DRI) the ADEME.
