The consortium of the ERA-NET Cofund MarTERA will launch in November/December 2018 a second joint call for transnational research and innovation projects on different thematic priority areas.

Preliminary Announcement: an international call in Nanomedicine to be open soon

The French National Research Agency (ANR), in partnership with 15 countries is set to launch a 10th joint transnational call for proposals through the ERA-NET EuroNanoMed (ENM) on Nanomedicine. The call is likely to open on November 14th.

Launching of a Franco-German joint call for proposals on sustainable energy

The French Ministry for Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI) – via the French National Research Agency (ANR) – and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) launch a joint call for proposals on energy storage and distribution. The submission deadline is 9 January 2019.

Pre-announcement: 9th Call of the CHIST-ERA ERA-NET

In the framework of the CHIST-ERA ERA-NET (European coordinated research on long-term ICT and ICT-based scientific Challenges) will be launched in October 2018 a new call for research proposals, to which ANR will participate. Global Security Research: See you at the 12th WISG Symposium!

The French National Research Agency (ANR) will be hosting the 12th edition of the Interdisciplinary Workshop on Global Security (WISG) from 16 to 17 October 2018 in Lyon. The event is organised in partnership with the French Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DGRI), the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) and the French General Secretariat for Defence and National Security (SGDSN). It will offer researchers, businesses and institutional stakeholders a platform to discover the outstanding results of ANR projects and specific activities undertaken by the Agency and its partners, while allowing them to engage with potential partners. Preliminary announcement: an international call for proposals on non-agricultural non-energy raw materials will be launched soon

In the framework of ERA-NET Cofund ERA-MIN2, the French National Research Agency (ANR) will launch, in partnership with 23 funding agencies from 18 different countries, a second call for projects on non-agricultural non-energy raw materials.

Launching of an international call for proposals in Computational Neuroscience

The French National Research Agency (ANR) is joining funding organisations: the NSF, the NIH (USA), the BMBF (Germany), the BSF (Israel), the NICT (Japan), the AEI and the ISCIII (Spain), to issue a 7th transnational call for proposals in computational neuroscience. The call is launched under the NSF “Collaborative Research in Computational Neuroscience” (CRCNS) program. The deadline for submission is November 27th 2018.

Within the ERA-NET CoBioTech, the French National Research Agency (ANR) pre-announces the upcoming second call for transnational research projects in the field of biotechnologies. The Joint Call brings together 18 funding organisations from 14 countries. The one-phased call is expected to open on 16.10.2018 with a closing date on 14.12.2018, 13:00 CET.

The ANR signs the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment

On 7 September 2018, the French National Research Agency (ANR) joined research organisations and institutions in signing the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA). The Declaration sets out a series of recommendations to improve research assessment, emphasising the quality of scientific output over the reputation of scientific journals.
