Scientific Departments
The ANR is organised in 8 scientific departments, each with a Head of Department and a number of Programme Directors and Project Officers. 6 departments are dedicated to broad scientific areas and priorities: Environment and Biological Resources; Engineering, Processes and Security; Health and Biology; Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies; Sustainable Energy; Social Sciences and Humanities.
The other two are dedicated to running the agency’s non-thematic bottom-up schemes and to fostering public-private partnerships: Exploratory and Emerging Research; Partnerships and Competitiveness.
