Résumé du projet

The ImagInEx Biomed project has been ranked in first row of the first PIA call. The ImagInEx Biomed project proposes to establish a pipeline from the High-throughput imaging to the very-high content analysis. This includes (i) electron microscopy, both transmission (TEM) and scanning electron (SEM) microscopy with cryo and volume analysis option, and with chemical signature characterization (TEM), (ii) flow imaging and (iii) atomic force microscopy coupled to super-resolution microscopy. All the instruments have been installed at the end of the scheduled of the phase I (investment). The project in its phase II (running) supports research activities in several field: infection-immunity, metabolic diseases (cardiovascular disorders and diabetes), cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases. Among the major released work, can be mentioned: identification of the adhesive receptor of N meningitidis, characterization of a new type of medicament against tuberculosis, characterization of the membrane trafficking of parasites into the host cell and of the bacteria hijacking of the autophagy pathway, development of technological methods on correlative microscopy. The ImagInEx Biomed project has also launched meetings, involvement in technological networks and international workshops, and has acquired through the Imaging Facility a real renowned visibility.
