Résumé du projet

MetaboHUB is dedicated to innovation, training and technology transfer in the fields of metabolomics and fluxomics for nutrition and health, agriculture, environment and biotechnologies. From 2013-2017, MetaboHUB harmonizes, implementes and up-grades the four existing platforms with common metabolomics and fluxomics tools, and methods in order to build a world-class national infrastructure. From 2018, the infrastructure will provide to academic and private partners, standardized methods (website), a spectral database (PeakForest) integrated into an ecosystem of tools for data mining (W4M) and computer resources to reconstruct metabolic networks (MetExplore). For Metabolomics, 2016 was dedicated to: (i) the annotation of spectral data from biological matrices and the acquisition of MS/MS spectral data reference compounds in order to implement “PeakForest”; (ii) sharing and optimisation of key tools in lipidomics and developing new and original quantitative assays; and (iii) developing tools for normalisation and for quantitative MS-based metabolomics. A proof of concept project with cohorts has been initiated to test MetaboHUB and contributions to other PIA projects. For Fluxomics, the work focused on: (i) expanding MetExplore service; (ii) providing a collaborative platform for the annotation of metabolic networks; (iii) validating of a robotic platform for 13C -labelling experiments in microorganisms; (iv) validating a robotic platform to speed-up the preparation of labelled samples for NMR or MS analyses; and (v) improving analytical methods for sensible analysis of isotopomer distribution and a new approach to measure fluxes in compartmented cells. For Bioinformatics, the work focused on: (i) releasing the Workflow4metabolomics infrastructure 3.0 (W4M) in partnership with the French Bioinformatics Institute (IFB); (ii) releasing the first version of the PeakForest spectral database to MetaboHUB; and (iii) releasing the centralised online portal for service.
