Résumé du projet

The objective of Labex ReFi is to deliver high quality research on Financial Regulation with concrete practical implications for regulators and financial institutions. Labex ReFi has adopted an action plan for the period 2015-2019 centered on five topics: 1- Scientific excellence. We develop interdisciplinary and inter laboratory research. We focus on a range of four research axes: Finance and Society, Accounting Regulation - Financial information, Systemic Risks, Financial Risks. The Labex will continue to federate a research community. Labex helps our individual partner institutions to leverage their competencies and achieve synergies though the sharing of databases and other research tools. 2- Training. We organized four international winter seminar on Financial Regulation with the European Parliament. Each « Financial European Forum in Strasbourg » gathered 1000 master and doctoral students. Building on this experience we now began to set up a European school of Financial Regulation, encompassing Master Programs, Doctoral Programs, and executive education. 3- International networking. Labex ReFi has drawn on the existing network of our members to organize several large-scale conferences and a large number of seminars, workshops and round table discussions. In the future we want to formalize the informal relations with most significant Universities involved in Financial Regulation, through the implementation of an international advisory board. 4- Expertise. Labex ReFi has developed strong links with the European Parliament. We will avail of this preferred partnership to expand our expertise and our broader impact on the general public. 5- Governance reshuffle. We have adjusted the governance of Labex ReFi at the end of 2015, modeling our processes according to the standards of international organizations, think tanks and research organizations.
