Résumé du projet

The Revive Consortium for stem cells in regenerative biology and medicine unites fundamental and applied stem cell researchers with selected partners from the biotechnology sector. It is structured around a dedicated research programme on stem cells, disease modelling, regenerative medicine and ageing. Revive aims to nucleate a larger scale effort into a Consortium for stem cell-based regenerative medicine and drug screening. The Revive Consortium continued to actively develop its different programmes to support stem cell research and training. These efforts led to the recruitment of four research junior group leaders and one senior group leader that has arrived to the Institut Pasteur current 2016, strongly reinforcing the Revive infrastructure and expertise. Revive has also funded nineteen postdoctoral researchers and seventeen PhD students (including 4th year PhD students) since the beginning of the programme. Revive is continuously implementing its successful training programmes, notably the Revive two-weeks International summer course for students and postdoctoral researchers in its 2016 edition and has started organising other training and public engagement activities for the years to come, for instance, a workshop on stem cell tourism called Cellules Souches: Mythes et Réalités directed to wide-audiences, among other activities.
