Résumé du projet

In 2016, Imagine has further strengthened its scientific scope by pursuing the Attracting new talents program (opening of Antonio Rausell's Bioinformatics lab in June, SAB selection of 2 new group leaders for 2017 in October), by expanding its platforms created in 2015 (Transgenesis platform, IPS platform), by reaching the expected levels of medical research training (10 MD-PhD students, 14 international PhD students) and by implementing the results of its scientific services : more than 30 gene panels are now available for diagnostic purposes, more than 3 Million Phenotypic data points can be requested for more than 400 000 patients in the updated DWH “Dr Warehouse” database, developed at Imagine & which was settled in June by a convention with the APHP, and the expansion of the in-house Polyweb software for genomic analysis. Other key points include : the launch of the Imagine Bioentrepreneurs program, in partnership with HEC, Ecole Polytechnique & Université Paris Descartes (10 students recruited on 3 biomedical innovation projects), the general increase of industrial partnerships (36 new agreements established by Imagine & its founders, additionnal partnerships still under discussion), especially the partnership with the pharmaceutical lab Alexion, hosted at Imagine, which led to 2 new research contracts and support for the RHU CIL-in-SIL project (2016 call, application in 2017), the strengthening in capacity of new research projects with the Hospital thanks to new equipment (increase in use of the IRM3T,  collaboration on a new Paediatric surgery Robot). The institute was also labeled “Tremplin Carnot” in July and undertook an ambitious Gene therapy project which was rewarded “Major area of interest” by the Paris Region in December. These scientific & strategic advances have been complemented by the signature of the Road map to 2025, in close collaboration with its founders, and the second edition of the very successful charity diner “Heroes”.
